❄ COLD-CHAIN LOGISTICS · HACCP · REFRIGERATED TRAILERS

Reefer temperature control — in real time and along the route

cloudGPS collects temperature and humidity readings from sensors inside the trailer or body, sends alerts on deviations, and stores the complete temperature history. Customer-ready reports, PDF/Excel export, and full HACCP cold-chain compliance.

Why generic GPS tracking falls short for reefers

Basic systems show position and mileage. cloudGPS adds a dedicated temperature-control layer for every reefer zone — with configurable thresholds, alerts, and an audit-ready log.

device_thermostat

Multiple zones in one trailer

Multi-zone reefer support: freezer + chiller sections on a single vehicle. Each zone is an independent loop with its own thresholds and alerts.

notifications_active

Alerts on deviation

Upper/lower temperature or humidity breaches trigger an instant Telegram, email, or push notification. Configurable delay prevents false positives from short door openings.

stacked_line_chart

Temperature curve along the route

Temperature trace linked to GPS position and timestamp. You can see exactly where a deviation occurred — at loading, in transit, or at unloading.

verified

HACCP-compliant log

Raw sensor data is stored immutably. Signed and timestamped reports are ready for food-safety inspections, customer audits, and insurance claims.

Customer-ready report

One click produces a PDF/Excel with chart, deviation table, and trip summary. Ready-made template to attach to the bill of lading or email to the client.

sensors

Works with all common sensors

iButton (DS1922L), Escort TD-BLE, Teltonika BLE/RS232, Carrier Datacold, Thermo King — connected through your existing tracker. No hardware replacement required.

Who it works for

Every segment where a temperature breach means a rejected shipment, a fine, or a lost contract.

restaurant Food distribution

Meat, fish, dairy, frozen goods — short shelf life and strict retailer requirements. One failure can mean a rejected load and loss of listing.

  • Temperature control from loading to delivery
  • Audit log accepted by major retail chains
  • Alerts on door openings outside unloading points
  • Report automatically attached to each trip

medication Pharma and medical goods

Vaccines, insulin, biologics — 2–8 °C cold chain with zero tolerance for deviations. GDP/GMP requires a documented temperature log.

  • Measurement accuracy to ±0.3 °C with calibrated sensors
  • Dual sensor channels with mismatch detection
  • Simultaneous alerts to dispatcher and driver
  • GDP-format report for audit

local_shipping International freight

Trips across the EU and beyond. The reefer unit runs for a week or more — every incident must be tracked online and recorded.

  • Continuous online connectivity via GSM + LTE with backup
  • Alerts at night and on weekends (no gaps)
  • Reports in the customer's language
  • PUESC integration for trips through Poland

How it works

The platform connects to your existing GPS tracker and temperature sensors. No hardware swap, no additional OBU.

Connect the sensors

A temperature sensor (iButton, BLE, RS232/RS485) is wired to the GPS tracker in the truck. Single- and multi-channel setups for multi-zone reefers are supported.

Configure thresholds

In the web console you set temperature and humidity ranges for each zone, the allowed deviation duration, and the notification channels.

Monitor in real time

The platform processes telemetry, maintains the temperature curve, captures events, and detects deviations. Alerts are sent automatically via Telegram/email/push.

Trip report

When the trip ends — a ready-to-send PDF with chart, deviations, and signature. It can be auto-emailed to the customer or archived for your records.

cloudGPS vs basic GPS monitoring

Most systems treat temperature as just another data point on the chart. cloudGPS analyzes it as a standalone control loop with its own rules.

Reefer monitoring FAQ

From sensor accuracy to the customer report — everything that comes up before rollout.

How accurate is the temperature measurement?
It depends on the sensor. Standard iButton DS1922L — ±0.5 °C, Escort TD-BLE — ±0.3 °C, industrial Pt100 — down to ±0.1 °C. cloudGPS doesn't change the sensor's physical accuracy, but it precisely records every reading and automatically flags deviations.
How many zones per reefer can be monitored?
It depends on the tracker model. Teltonika FMC650 and FMB920 with a BLE sensor mesh support up to 8 channels simultaneously. That covers the standard "freezer + chiller + cab" layout with room to spare.
What does a deviation alert look like?
A Telegram message with the zone name ("Zone 1: freezer"), actual and threshold temperature, deviation duration, GPS position, and a direct link to the chart in the web console. Email and push notifications are formatted the same way. Dispatcher and driver can receive separate alerts.
Does the report meet HACCP/GDP requirements?
Yes. The report includes immutable raw sensor data, UTC timestamps, GPS position, sensor and tracker serial numbers, and the driver identifier. A system signature ensures file integrity. This satisfies most food-safety and European regulators.
What happens if GSM coverage drops?
Modern trackers (Teltonika, Bitrek) include internal flash memory and buffer telemetry for up to 30 days. Once the connection is restored, all data is uploaded to the server in chronological order. There will be no gaps in the report.
Can it be added to my existing fleet?
Yes. cloudGPS supports most common trackers (Teltonika, Bitrek, Galileosky, Naviset, Wialon-compatible). If GPS is already in place, you only add a temperature sensor and point the device to our server. No hardware swap and no monitoring downtime.
How much does rollout cost?
The platform is a monthly subscription per vehicle. Sensors range from a few dollars for iButton to around $150 for a calibrated industrial BLE sensor. A ballpark quote is sent within 24 hours of your request.
