How it works

cloudGPS is a server-based monitoring platform. Hardware installation and initial calibration are done by a certified installer (yours or from our partner network). The platform picks up the data as soon as the device is connected.

Installation and calibration

The installer mounts the DUT in the tank/reservoir, connects it to the tracker (Teltonika, Bitrek or other compatible) and performs the "litres ↔ DUT readings" calibration. We have a partner installer network.

Connecting the tracker to cloudGPS

The tracker sends telemetry to the cloudGPS server. The calibration profile is stored in your account. Adding a new tracker takes a few minutes in your dashboard.

The platform analyses readings

FuelAnalyzer on the server processes the data stream: filters noise, applies tank-specific parameters (minDrainVolume, minRefuelVolume and others), classifies events. You tune the parameters in the web UI.

You get events and reports

"Refuel", "Consumption", "Drain" appear automatically. Charts, PDF/Excel reports, Telegram alerts — all available in the browser and mobile app.

How accurate is fuel-level measurement?
It depends on the DUT and calibration quality. For typical capacitive DUTs (Omnicomm LLS, Mechatronics, Technoton) accuracy is ±1-2% of full volume. For depot tanks with calibration tables — ±0.5-1%. cloudGPS doesn't improve the sensor physically, but its smoothing algorithms filter noise from fuel slosh during movement.
Can I connect more than one DUT to a single device?
Yes. Depends on the tracker model: Teltonika FMC650 supports up to 3 RS-485 DUTs, Bitrek 810 — up to 4. cloudGPS analyses each DUT separately (multi-DUT) and never mixes events between tanks. This is critical for combines and fire trucks with 2-3 tanks.
What is a "Drain" and how do you detect it?
A "Drain" is a fuel-level drop that can't be explained by normal engine consumption. FuelAnalyzer considers the drop speed, current ignition state, volume and time of day. The minDrainVolume parameter is tuned individually — 5 L for a passenger car, 50 L for a fuel tanker.
Which trackers are supported?
Teltonika (FMB920, FMB130, FMC130, FMC650, FMC880), Bitrek (BI 530R, 810, 910), and all devices with Wialon Retranslator and Teltonika Codec 8/8E protocols. Already running on another platform? We migrate without hardware replacement.
Do we need to register with PUESC if we drive to Poland?
Yes — for the transport of sensitive goods (fuel, alcohol, tobacco, fertilisers, etc.), Poland requires automatic position transmission to SENT via PUESC. cloudGPS is a registered OUL provider on the platform side: you enable data transmission in your dashboard with a single toggle for the specific vehicle. Registration at puesc.gov.pl is done by you as the carrier — we provide step-by-step guides and technical support.
How much does deployment cost?
cloudGPS is a server platform with a monthly subscription depending on the number of devices and chosen features. DUT installation and calibration are separate, performed by an installer (yours or from our partner network), approximately ~€80-150 per unit depending on complexity. How quickly will I see the first results?
DUT data appears in the dashboard as soon as the tracker starts sending telemetry. Accurate drain detection — after 1-2 weeks of operation, once the platform learns baseline consumption patterns and FuelAnalyzer parameters are tuned to your equipment.
